Some answers….

Much of what we have to say has been said before. We at Clean World Maintenance will say it again…and again…..and again. Why? Because we are sincerely interested in the health and well being of our friends and customers. That has been the case for many, many years. We are not simply in the cleaning business but cleaning in such a way that promotes your health and welfare. Today we are submitting a few questions and answers that though elementary are important to repeat.

Q. Can Bleach be used to disinfect surfaces from Covid 19?

A. Yes, if appropriate for the surface. Household bleach will be effective against the virus when properly diluted. 5 tablespoons (1/3 cup) bleach per gallon of water.

Q. What are a few CDC guidelines for cleaning your home during the virus?

A. Clean surfaces using soap and water, then use disinfectant. Wear reusable disposable gloves for routine cleaning and disinfection. Clean or launder items following the manufacturer’s instructions. Wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds.

Q. What kind of disinfectants kill Covid 19?

A. Look for products with active ingredients such as ethanol, hydrogen peroxide, or quaternary ammonium.

Q. What about catching the virus from a package in the mail?

A. The virus is thought to spread most often by respiratory droplets. It is unlikely to be spread from mail, products, or packaging.
