Are we really gonna
Do This?
Yup, we’re gonna clean house.
We might have a raging virus going on, but we still must keep our living space clean and disinfected. Your clean team is standing by.
We talked last time about how to prepare for cleaning and disinfecting our home so let’s start with the hydrogen peroxide solution (one-part hydrogen peroxide and two parts baking soda and a small bit of dish soap) we discussed in the last blog and begin in the bathroom.
Pour a cup of hydrogen peroxide in your toilet bowl and using the toilet brush scrub all around getting the solution all over. Leave it for at least two hours to destroy bacteria. Add a little dish soap and wipe the bowl again.
Pour some hydrogen peroxide down the drains and it will destroy a whole bunch of odors and microbes. Use two tablespoons of baking soda, one-quarter cup of dishwashing liquid, and three tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide to add a new sparkle to and around the stovetop.
Let it sit for twenty minutes. Finish by wiping it all away with a damp cloth. If your refrigerator has a few ugly spots on the glass shelves just spray on some hydrogen peroxide let it soak for a few minutes and wipe off. While we have some spray on hydrogen peroxide left let’s clean our cutting board with dish soap, rinse, and spray the hydrogen peroxide on the board and let it sit for a few minutes before wiping.
Let’s also disinfect our kitchen sponges by soaking them in one-part hot water and one part hydrogen peroxide for 15 minutes. To kill any remaining germs put them in the microwave for one minute.
