Important things to consider….

While staying clean and safe.

Although it’s been explained before let’s go over hand cleaning one more time.

  1. Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold), turn off the tap, and apply soap.

  2. Lather your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. Lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails.

  3. Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds. Need a timer? Hum the “Happy Birthday” song from beginning to end twice.

  4. Rinse your hands well under clean, running water.

  5. Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them.

Now some things to consider while cleaning the house. Use hand sanitizer as needed. If you are using chemical cleaners’ ventilation is important. This will prevent serious ailments. Open several windows let the outside in. Remember mold, mildew, and other bacteria accumulate and multiply on cleaning tools. Switch sponges and rags often depending on what you’ve cleaned with them.

While speaking of cleaning chemicals be careful when mixing them together. If you mix items such as bleach with other items, you can create toxic gas that is harmful if inhaled. We will discuss additional tips in upcoming blogs.
